Classes Offered
Musical Theatre
This class will focus on acting, singing, and choreography, or the "triple threat" aspect of musical theatre. Audition technique, scene work, improv, and song interpretation will round out this curriculum.
Dance
Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Hip Hop will be offered at all levels. Technique will be the focus of each style. Students will train at the ballet barre, center work, across the floor, as well as choreography for performances and showcases. Competition teams will be selected by the Director. There will be a dance placement audition for dancers with previous training to place students in the proper class level. Audition will consist of ballet barre, a jazz combination, and tap steps.
Private Voice
Ages 6 and up ~Students will learn healthy vocal technique in both the classical and musical theatre styles. Students will learn to sing while they create a well rounded musical theatre and classical repertoire. Classes will be offered for 30minutes or 60 mintues. A four week trial is available for younger students to assess their readiness.
"GLEE" - Group Voice
This "GLEE" inspired group voice class will focus on group singing: healthy vocal technique, melody and harmony singing, and choreography will round out this program. Students will develop a repertoire and have performance opportunites throughout the year.
Television Performance
On -camera acting and performance will be the focus of this class. Students will study commercial scripts, acting, broadcasting. and improv as it pertains to on-camera performance. Students will be part of the cast of SPLAT! TV, our very own tv show created for local cable.
Master Classes
Guest teachers will teach Master Classes periodically. Broadway performers, Hip Hop experts, and acting professionals will offer intensives for students who want to study more intensively. We will also offer group trips to NYC to work right in the city with the performers who live there!
